Wolf mask

Commissioned to design and create a wolf mask for a private collector, this piece explores themes of power, nature, and symbolism. Inspired by the work of fellow artist Melita Curphy, the design aims to capture the strength and presence of the wolf through a balance of organic form and stylised detail.

The mask was traditionally sculpted in clay, then moulded, cast in resin, and finished with a gold surface accented by a blue patina. Drawing heavily from Japanese design influences while incorporating Western motifs, the piece combines elements from both visual traditions to create a unique contemporary interpretation.
