AW UFO lamp

A collaboration with AW Lighting to design and build a prototype lamp for a new range of playful, characterful lighting. Inspired by retro mid-century design, the optimistic futurism of The Jetsons, and the visionary work of Syd Mead, I developed a lamp in the form of a classic flying saucer.

The design embraces themes of nostalgia, optimism, and playfulness, combining clean, streamlined forms with a sense of fun. The completed prototype was exhibited at the Messe Frankfurt lighting expo.
